In case you haven’t noticed, we love using the phrase YOU BELONG HERE.  This is not just a catch phrase to us.  At Engage, you aren’t a face in the crowd.  You are someone with a story that matters to God.  We would love to get to know you, your unique story, and share our story too.  But of course, it’s all at your pace, we promise not to overwhelm or bombard you.

It’s a busy world and we believe it’s important to make time for God.  However, we also know that people appreciate quality over quantity.  Thus, we work very hard to put together services that are ONE HOUR OR LESS.  Engage is definitely a church where you won’t have to be clock-watching.

Jesus met all sorts of people in places that others thought weren’t appropriate or the most “churchy”.  To us, meeting at the Clyde Iron Works is a place where Jesus would meet, teach, and love people.  We love our comfortable, non-intimidating space.  A separate perk is a quick and accessible bite to eat following our services, which conveniently end as the restaurant opens.

Though speaking “churchy” is not a sin, we try our best to avoid it.  We understand that everyone has a different background and level of knowledge and understanding.  Thus, we constantly explain or use terms that all people can relate to and understand.  We also make sure that you know what is expected.  Don’t worry about when to sit or stand, to sing or not sing, etc.  We let you know what the plan is every week and we encourage you to participate in whatever way is most comfortable.

As long as you wear clothes, we are happy.  Our pastors can typically be seen in jeans, sneakers, and a hoodie.  But again, we encourage you to do what is comfortable.  If that means a three-piece suit - then get spiffy.  If it means flip flops and your favorite Hawaiian shirt - that’s cool too.

We want to be people that are generous, because we recognize that God is generous and wants us to trust Him in all things - including our wallet.  So yes, we do have a time for donations or (WARNING CHURCHY WORD AHEAD) tithes/offerings. But don’t feel pressured to give.  We would rather you come check us out and get to know us.  Connecting with YOU as a person is far more important to us than connecting with your bank account.
